A Note of Thanks

Dear Readers,

Welcome to MfMC official blog.

We aim to proactively and continuously promote and educate the issue of children's safety to the public. Children are the future of our nation and they are "vulnerable'. They rely on adults to protect them from any form of harm including without limitation to kidnapping.

Hence, it is our hope that this little effort will be able to instill the continuous sense of safety for children among the public.

Let's do this together. Help us to help others in creating the awareness. Spread the message to others. Prevention is better than cure.

Together we make a difference.

MfMC Ride for Missing Children - Singapore-Hatyai Ride 2014
(A ride with the hope that no more children will go missing)

3 January 2014
Kuala Lumpur – Mission for Missing Children or better known as MfMC is a non-profitable and politically independent organisation that aims to promote the children's safety issue through their outdoor activities such as cycling, running, swimming, triathlon and mount climbing.

From 11th to 17th January 2014, a group of 20 cyclists will be cycling from Woodlands in Singapore to Hatyai in Thailand to further promote their cause. Along the ride, they will be making stops at various places to reach out to the society members to share tips and information about children's safety. The team will also be visiting Sek Keb Teluk Kemang in Port Dickson and Sek Keb Seri Selamat in Setiawan whereby they will give talk on children's safety issue to the school children.

"It is our hope that our effort will help to raise the awareness level on children's safety so that no more children will go missing in the future", said Mohd Khafiz Bachok, the MfMC's Chairman.

As to why MfMC is doing the ride, Mohd Khafiz said, "this is our contribution to the society by doing what we love to do i.e. cycling. It is no longer just about our passion in cycling but more importantly how we can benefit the society from our activities. Cases of missing children repeatedly occurs and what need to be done is to continuously creating awareness on children's safety issue, which through our observation is what the society is lacking of. Hence, MfMC is here trying to address the issue".

According to Mohd Khafiz, the ride is opened to all cyclists out there who want to ride for a cause. This is a non-sponsored, fully self financed and self sufficient ride. Interested cyclists may join the entire ride or any stage throughout the ride. The group will ride along the west coast road of Peninsular Malaysia, tentatively as follows; -
